How do I get music and audiobooks onto an iPhone? I know I have to go to the Apple Web site and?
establish an iTunes account. I have done that but they are asking for a credit card. I do not want to give them my credit card number. I simply want to transfer MP3s that I already have on my PC to the iPhone. Any advice would be tremendously appreciated.

I don’t really know if that’s possible..you could try transfering your MP3 files to your iTunes but either way you would still have to get an iTunes account. The only reason they need your credit card number is so if you buy anything on iTunes without an iTunes card or money on your account they’ll have a way to charge you.

How can I bookmark audiobooks on my iPhone for use in my Kia Soul?
I’ve ripped several audiobooks to my iPhone. They’re broken into chapters. When I play those audiobooks back from my iPhone through my car (Kia Soul), they play perfectly. However, the audiobook doesn’t seem to bookmark where I left off, causing the audiobook to start playing from the top the next time I connect the phone to the car jack. I’ve looked for a way to bookmark it from the car’s radio dashboard, but I can’t seem to find it.
The iPhone does not allow you to access the iPod touchscreen when it is hooked up to the car.

Can you download Audible.com audiobooks to your iPhone or iPod Touch via wifi with OS 3.0?
I have my Audible.com account linked to iTunes on my desktop PC. I use the Audible.com “Gold” package, so I have stored credits for audiobooks. Currently, I have to download audiobooks from Audible.com, and they are automatically transferred into my iTunes library on my PC. Then I sync my iPod Touch to transfer the audiobooks to my iPod.
I was wondering if the new OS 3.0 allows you to download audiobooks from your Audible.com account directly through the iTunes Store on my iPod Touch, charging a credit. This would be great to download audiobooks on the road when I don’t have my PC nearby, while still using my stored up Audible.com credits.
Anyone know if this is possible?
Thanks in advance.

idownload answers:
I called Audible and they said it is not possible and it is not being worked on. ITunes and Audible.com are competitors and Apple has no desire to make it easy for people to buy their audiobooks anywhere but iTunes.
This is Audible’s story and it has the ring of truth in it to me. Apple is a great company and I can’t fault them for taking this position.

Do audiobooks (on itunes) work for ipod classics?
I know that some things are only for Iphone, and ipod touches, but what about audiobooks?
Just wanna make sure, Thnx! XD
idownload answers:
Yes, I own an iPod classic, and my iTunes has the option to sync audiobooks to my ipod. Audiobooks are basically a long music track, but instead of music, it’s someone reading a book. There’s no reason they wouldn’t work.

How do you sync an audiobook to an Iphone?
I downloaded an audio book from Ingram Digital, a program that syncs audio books to Iphones. Currently, I have an audio book on my computer. It appears in my Itunes library under the “Audiobooks” folder. For some reason, when I try to sync my Iphone, the audio book does not transfer to my Iphone. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong? I already checked the box under “Options” to sync audiobooks.
idownload answers:
It’s easy when you buy the audio book download it to iTunes then go to audio books and click sink and it will sink in about 5 minutes

How do I transfer an audiobook from an audiobook CD (.cda) to my iPhone in Audiobook format?
Thanks for taking a look at this question.
I use a Windows Vista computer and an iPhone together with iTunes.
Despite consulting several sources online, I’m still unable to convert audiobooks from their original state as audio CDs (.cda format) into the iPhone‘s Audiobook format (.m4b) and then sync them.
I need help with this, thank you.
idownload answers:
The only way to do this is using software.
If your using a mac, use a free utility called “join together” (v.5)
there should be something similar available for windows.
