Where do I get true information on best web background sites?
I have gone to several places to get information but I am afraid that they are just pumping their own products or are connected to the sites they suggest. Also, in past I KNEW a person had a criminal background and used just any old site, and NOTHING came back after spending close to $30. The site was worthless.
Does anyone have a site they can recommend or a site that rates these “detective” sites and also gives comments or allows people to comment after using the site?
Any help would be much appreciated. This is a Gratis question, so please don’t pump something just to make a commission or something because I will check them all out.

My advice is… If you need background information on someone … Find a reliable investigator. Most private investigators have access to the “real” sites you are talking about and they are not normally available to the public. You can also look up business records to find a reliable one.

You could find an agency that does pre-employment background checks for small businesses:
