Your Questions About Free Trial Download Microsoft Office 2010

Ruth asks…

microsoft office 2010 free trial won’t download correctly?

I tried to download the free trial of microsoft office 2010 on a desktop that already has the starter pack installed and it did not download correctly. Anybody know why or how I can get it downloaded? I need it today for an assignment from school. Thanks all!

idownload answers:

Download or install? Two different things.

Uninstall your starter pack if you don’t need it. Then install the free trial. Just remember that the free trial will expire in 60 days and it will automatically lock down unless you buy it.

But, you can use the online version of Office 2010 for free. Nothing to install, no free trials to worry about. All you need is a hotmail or livemail account to log in to it:

It’s here. Log in, click the “Office” link, and you’re ready to start using Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or OneNote

Thomas asks…

Can you download a free trial for Microsoft Office 2010 more than once?

I’ve downloaded one of those 60-day trial things for Microsoft Office 2010 in the past…Can I do it again? Or is there some kind of time restriction or limit on how many trials that I can download?

idownload answers:

You can “rearm” for 6 months legally:

Or try the trial into thinking it’s the full version (not so legal):

Or get libreOffice for free (legal)

Donald asks…

When I download a free trial of Microsoft Office 2010, it says the product key they gave me is wrong…?

Recently, my trial for Home & Student (or whatever its called) ran out. Just in time for a project due tomorrow.

Now, I’ve tried to download Home & Office (or whatever) a couple of times now, each one they gave m e a different product key for the free trial, and each time when I enter it, it will say it’s correct. But then I click continue and it says that it’s wrong.

Does this have to do with the fact that I’ve already had a free trial?

idownload answers:

Yes. A free trial will only work one time.

You can use Office 2010 online for free. Microsoft provides this unlimited online use. All you need is a hotmail or livemail account.

It’s here. Log in, click the “Office” link, and you’re ready to start using Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or OneNote

Microsoft Office 2010 Free Trial Re-Download?

I downloaded the free trial 30 days ago and now its expired of course.. i dont wanna pay the ridiculous price so i tried re-downloading it and once it had finished downloading , nothing popped up asking to install it?, how can i just keep re-downloading the free trials ahha, thanks guys
I have re-downloaded once.. but the second time it didnt work.

idownload answers:

If a free trial says 60 days, it means 60 days and not 120 days.

When you load a free trial, a file is loaded in your registry that serves as two things: 1) a counter, which counts down the days in use 2) the fact your computer has loaded the free trial and prevents another free trial to be loaded again.

You have to buy the software if you want it. We’re all in the same boat as you and we all have to decide to buy it or else download something that’s free that is affordable. The version for free is open office. Http://www.openoffice.org

If you are a student, there are student versions available at very low prices.

Bottom line is: you have to pay for it if you want it or you have to download a freebie type

Trouble with Microsoft Office 2010 Trial Download…?

I have been trying to download the Microsoft Office Professional 2010 free trial download and I have been having so much trouble. The thing is that my computer died in the middle of a download and when I plugged my computer back in, it had to restart completely. So, when I tried to do the trial download again, it kept giving me error messages. The latest one I got was Error 1335 — and the thing is, there is nothing to “uninstall” the standard way, I’ve looked. And I’ve tried looking in the Microsoft Office files (I do have 2007 Student), and I don’t really know what I’m looking at.

I don’t want to uninstall the one I do have, I feel like it would be WAY too much trouble (way more than it’s worth). Does anyone have any ideas/advice? I’m really frustrated right now!!

idownload answers:

Contact Microsoft Support. They have a work around for this. //#

Richard asks…

Where can I download a free trial of Microsoft Office 2007?

My computer doesn’t seem to be compatible with Microsoft Office 2010
Unless anyone knows how to help?
It runs 2007 just fine – it’s just the 2010 that won’t work.

idownload answers:

A free trail version won’t help you either with your problems. :(

Have you ever considered SSuite Office as a free alternative?

Their software also doesn’t need to run on Java or .NET, like MS Office and so many open source office suites, so it makes their software very small, efficient, and easy to use. :)

If I download the free trial for Microsoft Office Professional 2010, will my other program get erased?

I need to use Publisher for a project, but I don’t have it, so im going to download Microsoft Office Professional 2010. I have Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 installed into my computer already. Will Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 get erased if i download Microsoft Office Professional 2010?

If not, how do you make sure you do not save over it?
If anyone has downloaded this, can you guide me through the download process? because theres a step that I don’t know what to do.. it says to add or remove programs from Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010.

idownload answers:

I don’t think so. I had a computer in here the other day that had came with Microsoft Office 2007.
Someone had then installed Microsoft Office 2010 in it, and they were both there and they both worked.

Sandy asks…

I downloaded microsoft office 2010 free trial , but i can only open powerpoint?

I really need to use Microsoft Word , but i don’t have it even though i downloaded Office 2010 . Shouldn’t I have at least Word , PowerPoint, and Excel ? please help .

idownload answers:

Pretty cool, I understood what mistake you have done.
First uninstall the office 2010 and restart your system. Install it again but this time, be sure that when it asks for which features do you want to install, selecta ll the features you want by checking the check box against them and intall the application. It will surely work. Also, I would tell you the mistake that you had done earlier which is that you only selected powerpoint when installing.

Hope I helped!

Thnx

Trying to download the Microsoft Office 2010 free trial?

I get through all the steps except the last one: step 4 – setting it up. It already ‘prepared the computer’ (step 1) but on the last step a error message comes up saying there was a problem setting it up and to try again or contact the microsoft product support which i don’t know how to do.
Can you help? I don’t know why it’s doing this and I need a Microsoft Word open. It doesn’t matter to me what year it is, but I can’t find an older version and the 2010 version isn’t working… =
By the way, I already uninstalled any other microsoft office software i had and rebooted.
I don’t want a viewer. I need to be able to type

idownload answers:

You don’t need to go through all that trouble. There is a free Word viewer you can install. Here is the link:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=3657ce88-7cfa-457a-9aec-f4f827f20cac&displaylang=en

If that doesn’t work, try OpenOffice.
